They are also joined by three members of the Hippocampus team - A group of 30 medical students from Stellenbosch University embarking on a 1000km cycle from the Northern Cape down to Cape Agulhas to raise money through the Nkululeko Fund for friends and fellow students to reduce their financial burden. The idea for Hippocampus came from personal experiences in their student community where they realized that all students have equal opportunities, but not equal resources to benefit from those opportunities. "I am with a social group of people, although some of them have had official training rides with the Western Cape government - so I don't know how social they are going to be" - Jason Lindt "I'm in a team of twelve, and it's essentially a team timed race, so a couple of teams start every few minutes and the fastest team start last and race past all of us slow folk. We'll kick off early in the morning and just aim to get in there by lunch-time" - Jason Lindt The men go on to discuss their cycling and cross-training plans for the festive season.
