10 October 2019 | 21 Minute Listen

Time in the Saddle is a podcast series hosted by avid cyclist and radio veteran, Ryan O’Connor focusing on all things exciting in the world of cycling. This is the 40th episode of Season Two.  Ryan O'Connor is joined by returning guests GoPro Brand Manager Shaun Rubenstein and action photographer Craig Kolesky.  The boys discuss the newly released GoPro HERO8 with its all-new design + HyperSmooth 2.0 and MAX with its widest lens ever + unbreakable stabilization. On GoPro's new HERO8 It's the first time we've seen a hardware change which is pretty cool. - Shaun Rubenstein, GoPro Brand Manager The fact that it doesn't have the cage on and it's just less to worry about to mount the camera is just a massive bonus. I think guys are very weight conscious now and they want to get to do a shot quick and not worry about adding all the different parts on to a camera. - Craig Kolesky, Action Photographer On the hardware The stabilisation 2.0 - it's now stabilised footage across all different modes, and then they've also within the stabilisation, you've heard some guys don't actually like using the hyper-smooth because it makes their mountain biking look too smooth. You're bombing down this crazy descend and it's like smooth sailing. Some guys want to show that, so you've got a trimmed down version - you don't have to the full hyper-smooth on. - Shaun Rubenstein, GoPro Brand Manager Check out the products here: https://youtu.be/TOuF7ZbcCUs Time in the Saddle podcast episodes are released weekly, on Thursdays.
