79.8% of AirBnbs in Cape Town are made up of entire homes and apartments – what’s the impact on housing availability?

According to the InsideAirBnb.com website, there are 20 583 AirBnb listings for Cape Town, with 79.8% of them being made up of entire homes / apartments, and not just spare rooms within homes. It is argued that this is having an impact on available housing stock for a growing city such as Cape Town.
